Delete your Demarc account
Demarc is a cabling closeout app operated by Heron Networks LLC. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data.
On the web (works for every Demarc account, including Android users)
- Go to app.getdemarc.com/settings/account and sign in with your Demarc email and password.
- Under Delete account, type your email address to confirm and enter your password.
- Press Delete account. You are signed out and a confirmation email is sent to your address.
The Demarc Android app uses the same account, so Android users delete it here.
In the iOS app
Open the Settings tab and tap Delete Account, then confirm. It does the same thing as the web page.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We confirm you own the address and delete the account within 30 days.
Before you delete
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Download any warranty packages, as-builts and test results you need first.
- If your organization has a paid subscription, deleting the account cancels it in the same step (you are asked to confirm).
- If you are the only admin of a team that still has other members, make another member an admin first.
What is deleted
- If you are the only member of your organization, the organization goes with you: every project, floor plan, drop, test result, photo, voice note, daily log, punch list, proposal, change order, warranty and as-built package, shared report link, inventory record, tester, the company logo, the raw tester files you uploaded, connected-integration access tokens and project chat webhooks. The stored files are deleted from file storage before the records are removed; if file storage cannot be reached, nothing is deleted and you are asked to try again.
- Your user account, password, certifications, API keys, activity entries and project assignments.
- Your billing customer record at Stripe (and with it any saved payment method), when your organization is deleted.
What is kept
- If your organization stays (other members remain), its certification record stays with it: test results, the raw tester files and the operator name the tester wrote into each result are the organization's proof to the cable manufacturer, not your personal account data. Projects, logs and packages you created are handed to the organization's admin.
- Packages already submitted to a manufacturer's warranty desk are held by that manufacturer, outside Demarc.
- Stripe keeps the payment records (charges and invoices) it is required to keep as our payment processor.
- If you unsubscribed from our follow-up emails, your address stays on our do-not-email list so we never mail it again.
- Copies of deleted data can remain in database backups and server logs for up to 30 days before they are removed.
